MEANING OF TAE KWON DO

TAE:                       Feet, smashing with kicking techniques.

KWON:    Fist, smashing with hand techniques.

DO:                          Art of putting this together; Tae Kwon Do is a self- defense martial art which uses both hand and foot techniques, and which originated in Korea.
